I found
the books to be excellent alternative approaches to addressing
the middle school curriculum while providing instructional
activities for a diverse population of students. The learning
experiences reflect best practices and are student-centered
activities. I tried two activities from two different books
in the series with an eighth-grade class and found them easy
to use as supplements to textbook work. They were also quite
good as stand-alone learning experiences.
